Why this blog?

What am I doing this summer? Watching as many romantic comedies as possible. Why? Each senior majoring in English Literature must write a final paper. I have decided to write mine on something a little different from the norm of English Literature - the secondary female characters in romantic comedies. I wish to explore how they offer an alternative to the perceived idea of womanhood almost always supported by the lead. The hard part? Figuring out what films to write about in my paper. Here they are, my thoughts on the romantic comedies I might possibly write about and most likely will enjoy.
